Are you breathing deeply enough?
When people are feeling stressed they generally shallow breathe in the top part of their chest.
Belly Breathing (diaphragmatic breathing) deeply relaxes the body, reducing feelings of stress by decreasing the stress hormones circulating in the body. It nourishes your nervous system, pituitary gland & your adrenals.
You’ll find it most beneficial first thing in the morning & right before you go to bed. With daily practise belly breathing should become more natural to you.
Anytime you feel stress levels rising, take a few belly breaths.
Challenge yourself by practising 10 cycles of deep breathing every day for the next 21 days to see for yourself the benefits to your health & wellbeing.
